The three-day event will include Full-day tutorials on July 8th, and the conference during July 9-10, that includes presentations of selected papers, keynote, invited talks, and panel discussions on topics related to VLSI design.
Topics
In the past, VDAT has focused on the Design and Test of VLSI chips and systems. This year, we wish to steer the conference significantly towards new and emerging areas.
Authors are invited to submit unpublished work in the below areas:
Area A - VLSI and Embedded Systems for Medical Applications and Healthcare
Area B - VLSI and Embedded Systems for Energy Conversion, including Solar Inversion
Area C - VLSI and Embedded Systems for Communications and Computing
Area D - VLSI and Embedded Systems for Other Applications, including Rural
Area E - System Integration and Test, and VLSI Chip Design and Test

Please indicate the area clearly when you make the submission. The area must also be indicated in the first page of the manuscript, below the title. Please do not submit survey papers. This year, we will publish the proceedings after the conference. Only the papers that were presented at the symposium will be considered for inclusion in the proceedings. As a result, there will be no requirement of submission of camera-ready papers before the conference. It is assumed that at least one author will register and attend the conference to present the paper. Hardcopy proceedings will be mailed to attendees within 6 months of the event.
Visit Paper submission for details on paper submission

Authors are invited to submit unpublished work in a maximum of 10 A4 size pages including figures, appendices and references. The submissions will undergo double-blind reviews: authors must not indicate their names or affiliations anywhere in the text, and if possible, in the references. The submissions should represent original contributions and should not have been submitted to other forums, printed journals or conferences.

Submission Guidelines
Authors may also submit proposals for half-day or full-day tutorials in the areas mentioned above. In this case, you must indicate this by placing the text Tutorial Submission below the text and providing the details of the speaker(s). Each tutorial submission must consist of an extended abstract. We encourage tutorials in the emerging areas.

Authors of accepted papers will be required to submit full papers, and Presentation Foils of their talks in PowerPoint or PDF format. Final submissions (full papers or presentations) will be made available as Proceedings.
Please visit guidelines to authors on homepage and http://vlsi-india.org/docs/i2a-doc.html for page formatting guidelines.
Proposals for full-day (6 hours' duration) or half-day (3 hours' duration) tutorials are also invited. Tutorial proposals should have
  • (i) Tutorial title and short summary (in about 200 words)
  • (ii) Name, affiliation and contact details of the co-ordinating presenter and all other co-presenters
  • (iii) Target audience and prerequisites along with beneficial impact of the tutorial on the intended participants (in about 75 words)
  • (iv) detailed tutorial program, delineated sub-topic-wise description of the structure with time duration of each (in about 2000 words)
  • Proposals for embedded tutorials (1 hour duration) and panel discussions are also invited. The proposals must include the full papers.Submitting authors must become members of the vdat@yahoogroups.com mailing list, through which, updates on the symposium will be notified.
