Technical Submissions
Technical submissions are categorized as
Authors are invited to submit unpublished work in a maximum of 10 A4 size pages including figures, appendices and references. The submissions will undergo double-blind reviews. Authors of Regular papers must not indicate their names or affiliations anywhere in the text, and if possible, in the references. The submissions should represent original contributions and should not have been submitted to other forums, printed journals or conferences. Reusing material from published work, even if the authors' own is tantamount to plagiarism and is strongly discouraged. Authors of accepted papers will be required to submit full papers, and Presentation Foils of their talks in PowerPoint or PDF format. Final submissions (full papers or presentations) will be made available as Proceedings, in both hard and softcopy format. Proposals for embedded tutorials (1 hour duration) and panel discussions are also invited. The proposals must include the full papers. Authors of embedded tutorials and half-day/full-day tutorials must provide their biographical information. Submitting authors must become members of the vdat@yahoogroups.com mailing list, where updates on the symposium will be sent.
Proposals for full-day (6 hours' duration) or half-day (3 hours' duration) tutorials are also invited. Tutorial proposals should have Online submissions

Important Dates
Last Date for paper submission: March 15, 2008
Last Date for Tutorial submission: March 15, 2008 Notification of acceptance: April 25, 2008 Last day to receive final manuscript: May 25, 2008 The camera-ready copies of the papers must be submitted on the CMT website no later than May 25 (soft deadline which allows us to review your submission and point out any problems) or June 1 (hard deadline, which does not allow any iterations), as per the instructions given at http://vlsi-india.org/docs/i2a-doc.html . Manuscripts that do not conform to the page limits or the formatting guidelines will not be included in the Proceedings – it is strongly recommended that the authors submit the paper by May 25 to allow time for a review. Note: Regular papers and Embedded Tutorials will get a maximum of 10 pages in the proceedings Short papers will get 8 pages Poster papers will get 1 page (abstract only). Note that the page size of VDAT proceedings are smaller. There are no page charges if your paper fits within the limits mentioned above. Up to two extra pages can be purchased @ Rs 1000/- per page. The DD for extra page charges should be made in favor of "VDAT Symposium 2008" payable at Bangalore and mailed before June 1st to Gopal Naidu, Treasurer, VSI, Texas Instruments India, Bagmane Tech Park, CV Raman Nagar, Bangalore 560093 (Tel – 25099727 x 1363). Last day to receive final presentation: June 25, 2008 The foils for the presentation must be uploaded to CMT site no later than June 25. The foils will be reviewed by session chairs and feedback will be mailed to the authors. The final set of foils must be uploaded by July 7 (hard deadline). Foils uploaded to the website will be available to presenters during VDAT. The proceedings softcopy has no limitation on page and file size for both the paper and presentation for all paper categories. Poster papers will be included in full.
